Multiple codes - vanos, misfire and sensor code - VANOS or DME?

2011 135i DCT, 80K miles. Was driving to work yesterday (very heavy rain), and going down a secondary road at 20-30mph when the car instantly went to SES - Service Engine Soon, shaking misfiring and lurching along. Sounded like the exhaust fell off...

Got it around the block back to the house, pulled the codes, cleared them, and restarted it. Ran a little rough, but ok.

Codes:
  • VANOS, intake: control error, camshaft pinched Code: 002D5A (Control fault, camshaft stuck)
  • Misfiring code on all cylinders Code: 002EFE, then code per cylinder
  • Misfiring, injection cut code on all cylinders Code: 002EF0, then code per cylinder
  • Lambda probe downstream of the catalyst, electric cable disruption Code 002D22 (Oxygen sensor after catalytic converter, electrical: Line disconnection)

The VANOS bolt recall was performed in 2015.

New plugs and coil packs about 15k miles ago.

MHD Stage 1+

Oil is brand new and level is full, checks ok.

I was going to pull valve cover and inspect, but went out and started it, and it's running smooth. Normal sounds w/ the hood open, nothing clacking or rattling. So thinking maybe this some electrical / DME gremlin? The camshaft pinched code is concerning though.

Going to see if it will get around the block later, but hoping for advice on best way to proceed at this point?

Well driving around now it seems just fine. Very smooth power seems normal, no odd sounds, no codes.

It was raining very heavily yesterday morning maybe that could be related to electrical Gremlins? Dunno, grasping for something 😕
