reprogram safe?

I am new to the idea of getting a 135i, so help catch me up to what's been happening. Is it safe to change the programing to make it more powerful, or will that blow it up? Seems like we'd know from the 335i. Does anyone know if dinan is going to have a reprogram kit?

define safe.

will it make your car instantly explode after installing? most certainly not. will it cause extra wear on your engine and turbo components? what do you think?

there are many tunes for the 335i that have been used for a while with only going into limp mode a handful of times.
