One thing that really went CLANG! for me is that when I learned English in the previous century, the past tense of "to grind" was "ground", not the horrible sounding "grinded." Fingernails on chalk board, anyone?

Anticipating some great updates, especially how that severe front camber works on the street tires. Others have mentioned is wears the inside pretty badly.
Fair enough. In that vein, allow me to don my editor's cap in turn.

1) Commas belong inside of quotation marks - see your "ground", above vs. "ground,."
2) "Chalkboard" is one word.
3) Your sentence "Others have mentioned is wears" should be replaced with "it wears."

Back on topic, I've been running -2.5 degrees camber on the street and track for the last six months, and I haven't noticed any adverse tire wear. Toe settings are what really impact tire wear, and I've stayed conservative in that regard for a dual-purpose setup.

Doug,

Great writeup. I can't wait to see how those wheels/tires look on your car.

What a nice article, I started SCCA autocrossing in my 04 STI after much upgrades including a quick ratio steering rack, stiifer springs adjustable camber plates etc. It has been good to me. Now I bought a 04 EVO RS and have been running that stock and it is awesome. About a month ago I purchased an 08 135i and was hoping to get this car capable ready for the next Autocross season and this is a very nice write up and subscribed for future upgrades.

Glad you enjoyed it! You'll have a great time getting your new 1 on track and exploring its potential.

You're in luck, Volume 2 was posted a few months ago:
