My BMW won't start, lots of codes (Camshaft position sensors)

2010 BMW 128i 3.0 Auto

Hey everyone, two days ago we had very cold weather -20C I went out to start my car that morning and it wouldn't start, it would try to turn over but wouldn't, been trying to get it started everyday since and still nothing, tries to turn over but stops. The battery is good cause the radio and all lights work even tried jump starting it and nothing. I noticed my engine light was on, I had the codes scanned and I'm showing codes:
P13B0, P13B2, P0340, P0365, P16C1. Now I know these all relate to the CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSORS but both going bad at the same time has me skeptical that the sensors are the root cause and would that cause my car not to start. Anyone with information please I would appreciate it so much, thank you.

Well I can't help you much other than to ask exactly where in Canada? I'm in Ottawa and know all the good indy garages. If you're in GTA, a call to Trillium chapter BMWCCA would be helpful to locate a good indy in your area. And assume you're talking N52 engine.

Windsor, Ontario. I tried starting it the first time when the weather was -20C a couple days ago and after trying a few times knocked the cams out of order? I'm not sure how that works really. But I was hoping to maybe buy new sensors from the dealer and replace them myself just thought it was strange that both sides failed. And yes n52 engine.

OK, Windsor my home town. W.C. Kennedy and Vincent Massey.
The CPS's have to be between $150 and 200 each. You buy them, don't fix the problem, you're out $300-400. If you don't know any good BMW indys then get car towed to the dealer. Very often a no start situation is a bad ground cable just above the starter motor. Good luck.

What kind of viscosity engine oil are you running? Perhaps your engine oil is too thick for -20'C. Your battery could just not be putting out enough cold cranking amps to turn over the engine. Try using a booster jumper battery.

Ok so I fixed my issue! It was the starter motor, after replacing it and charging the battery up a little she turned right over and runs like a beaut again. Also for the CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR codes, they all went away. Mystery 🤷. Thank you to everyone for replying.
