So I received my Brex H8 Bulb from Japan today... I know this thread is USELESS without pics... so no need for me to say anymore... Here is a teaser:

My impression:

I never had RD's so its tough for me to compare. I can say with absolute certainty that these are DEF visible during the daytime. They are DEF white if that is what you are looking for.

I purchased the Brex H8 approx. 1 week and half ago and the process was very simple. Just google fromjapan.jp and hopefully you can learn to understand the process of purchasing products in Japan. I tried to contact vendors initially but to no avail. They all said NO SHIPPING TO USA.

The first thing you will notice is that the LEDS are very visible. Second thing you would all LIKE TO KNOW is that NO CODE ERROR ISSUES.

The pictures are AWFUL in comparison to what I see. I've used the GP, MTEC Blue and White and by far this is the WHITE-est one of them all.

The Angel Eyes are pretty, PRETTY AWESOME

Night time, these are SWEEEEEEEEEEET....

You should buy a bunch and sell these... shoot I'd buy a set from you if you do all the work with the japanese vendor.

Fromjapan.jp is the website but I will be buying them through a friend once he returns bacj to Japan. By using the website they act as a third party which charges a service fee.

It could be less then $295 USD if I had used the Japan Auction but I decided to use the buy it now so I paid more.

I don't think people would pay that many for Leds lights. I was really intrigued by Jzang post so that is why I went ahead and purchased these LEDS. The problem and it will be for all order is that warranty is a HUGE issue. So if anything happens to them, the buyer is essentially SOL.

Update 2/23/2009

So I drove it to work today and no errors with the code and I tried it on all three settings. I will see if I can have my friend over with his 1er and take side by side shots comparison to a GP...

These are def more for looks after a full day of using. It is NOT bright at all hell i don't think its even useful beyond looks.

Do you mean that Brex LEDs are about the same brightness as stock or that they're actually noticably less bright than stock?

I'm guessing that's just in the daytime too right?
