How can I get rid of stains on my 261 rims?

Got a bit of a stain problem. Normal off-the-shelf wheel cleaners and clay haven't done anything. I haven't tried Sonax, but I'm not sure if that'll help much in this case either. It looks like whatever was there from the previous owner is now stained into the clear coat.

I did a little research and found these products:

Flitz Metal Polish, Fiberglass & Paint Restorer
Wolfgang MetallWerk Fine Aluminum Polish
CarPro Iron X Iron Remover
P21S Finish Restorer

I don't have a machine polisher but I do have a Mothers Powerball and an electric drill.

Any suggestions?

Compound or polish. Meguiars #105 or 205 and rub with microfiber towel

Short answer, yes. Really tired from soccer but the wheels clear coat and finish is much stronger and thicker than the paint's. Just lightly rub, no excessive pressure. Remember you want to level it out.

I think #205 will work better with those stains. And deeper and I would go with #105, at least from what I can see in the pictures

Ended up picking up Meguiars Ultimate Compound (the next most aggressive next to #105) and it took a lot of the staining off. I still see some faint lines. Still looking for suggestions.

I saw this and saw some good results online. Just not sure how Iron X would apply to the stains on my rims. It doesn't look like brake dust.

IMO, you're gonna need to polish that out. If you get tired of using the polish, move on to some finish restorer. It'll take a while but, for me, it has pulled out some of the worst metal staining that wouldn't come off any other way.
