Detail before stone-x? (and other options)

In another month I'll be picking up my car from the PDC and driving back down to Atlanta. After reading some other threads I've decided that I will need to get it fully clayed/sealed/waxed/detailed etc upon arrival. I am also planning on possibly getting the dealer (or someone) to install their stone-x film over the front bumper and possibly entire hood. Should I get the detail prior to installation of this or are they just going to have to strip it all off when it gets installed anyways? Are there other options/products that come highly recommended? Am I going about this all wrong?

I would strongly advise claying then polishing to remove defects. And then do an IPA wipedown to remove the polishing oils before the stone x is applied. Then you can finally apply paint sealant over the entire car.
