Car covered is little rust specs

Doing my oil change and other maintenance bits today, and concluded with wiping down the car with spray Detailer. While wiping, I just noticed that the car was covered in microscopic specs of rust dots. They are pretty scattered but mainly on the hood, trunk, and lightly on the roof and only noticeable from <6" away from the car. Is this shit normal for a bmw? I know rust is like cancer and will get worse over time. Is there a rust warranty I claim through the manufacturer?2012 135 with 37k miles.
I just got the car in December and surely this isn't something that I noticed, my girlfriend noticed or the shop that did my pre purchase inspection.
My previous car was a Subaru and even with rock chips, the body didn't rust like this

I live in Atlanta and the car began its life in Florida.

Could just be rail rust. Bits of metal that can be on the surface of the paint. Called rail rust because it is sometimes picked up when new cars are transported on rail cars. I had some of this one one of my past vehicles. If that is what it is it will only be on the top surface of the paint. Worth looking into.

Like others have said, it is "rail dust". This happens to ALL cars. Just on a white car it is easy to see.

Clay bars also help to remove it as well.

+1

Clay bar it. It will get rid of the rust spots and your paint will look and feel so much better.
It's an easy process and there are a lot of YouTube videos on it. Try to find the Ammo guy. He makes great videos.
