You can only get BMW keys from the dealer. I had to order one from my local dealer. Had to show up with my registration slip. Cost was $180 if I recall. It's expensive but it's also secure w/ ECU chip = theft prevention.

At Austin BMW yesterday I paid $237 for radio remote control(fob) and $66 for Integrated key. Parts guy said no programming needed. OUCH!
