Does a Keg fit in the trunk?

I "need" to pick up a keg (1/2 barrel) next week. Has anyone fit one in the trunk or am I stuck belting it in the passenger seat?

Passenger seat would be safer. Even with the rear seat down, it would hard to reach if it was in the trunk.

I'd rather have a little green bag in the glovebox.

Passenger seat would be better for weight distribution purposes.

In fear of it putting unnecessary weight on my pass seat, I would just throw it in the back seat.

Yeah, you don't want to reach back too far to fill your glass. Besides if it's next to you, the tap is within reach and bypass the cup entirely. We have suckie cupholders anyway.

Be careful, a keg is heavy and angular. It might mess up or break the airbag sensor mat in the seat.

If a keg were to break something in the seat, chances are it would break through whatever the trunk liner is.

Yes, a 1/2 keg does fit in the trunk, but bring something to help stabilize it and drive cautiously to minimize how much it rolls around back there.
