I really like your style!

Try taking pics when the sun goes down or up.
Photog's call the moment the sun is about to appear or has just disappeared the "sweet light".
This should give you a better basis to photoshop.

Definitely, but I usually end up having an urge to take photos and it happened to be during the day. Gets dark at 8:30-9:00 around here and I probably wouldn't have bothered if I waited.

good effort. photoshop out your equipment though and the lighting is a bit off i would say. take pics in morning or evening and your will get a much nicer result!
