Let me ask you this, what do wheels look like when you are actually using them?
Only saw 1 lemans blue in there.

I'd assume they look like there spinning Only time I really see them while moving is when passing a glass building.

I think LMB in the 1er may be too new for many to have upgraded their wheels yet. Have you searched on wheels (maybe rims, also) in the Commercial Vendors Forum and in the Tire and Wheel Forum? If you just want to see wheel finishes against LMB, you might have better luck in the e90post Forums.
The function-ability to look argument will always be there, so I will look for a balance. If I see some wheels I like I will then look up the statistics.

I have not searched the 3 series forum, good thought. Will have to do that tomorrow. Thanks.

Here are some shots of my piano black forgestar f14's on LMB. I debated for a while between brushed titanium(silver) finish and piano black. I ended up going for the gloss black to continue the theme with the grills, trim, exhaust tips, etc. Excuse the poor quality cam phone shots but it should at least give you an idea.. Also the gloss black rims are a PITA to keep clean and are difficult to clean without creating microswirls (only visible under close inspection and bright light but it bothers me lol..)
On the function issue, these are offered in custom offsets to fit large tires (one member has 245/275 with no mods ) and they weigh around 17 lbs. I'm waiting for the runflats to wear out before I get better rubber. Hopefully I'll get some shots in better lighting with a decent camera soon.
