Einsers - ActiveE and 1M
Here are some pics of the ActiveE and my 1M in the mix.
It's quite a big contrast in the drivetrains of these two amazing Einser models.

I'm well aware of the demand for one of those hoods. They are practically impossible to get. I tried.

That's funny, you remembered that post! At this point I don't even know if really like the hood as much as I think I do or is it because someone tells me I can't have it!

Looking at the first photo, I can see how one can envision the bump in the hood to be a "powerdome."
However, looking at the low-vantage point second photo, I think it would look rather silly on a 1M.

So true, due to his special ActiveE night feature, simply irresistible once the lights go down.

What make one "real" over the other?
I think the M3 powerdome belongs on the M3 and not on the 1M. It looks like a pimple on the 1M for some reason. JMO. I still think it looks too narrow and prefer the wider AE hood bump.

I owned an E90 M3 for 3 years. The hood looks great on the M3 WITH the hood vents. I won't say the M3 bump on the 1series looks "atrocious" like you are saying about the AE hood, but just doesn't work on the 1M for me. Why some are trying so hard to convince me my OPINION is wrong to the point of being insulting is beyond me. It's not healthy, let it go guys.
