Any one know the weight on these wheels? If it isn't much lighter than stock, not sure I could go for that.

What's amazing is BMW has a forged option wheel for the new M3 and only charges $1,200. The 261 at $2,000 is criminal. I'm actually leaning toward O.Z with this car. The Chrono or Ultraleggera are both very light weight (I believe under 18 pounds for 18x8 wheels), come in many colors, and are quite reasonably priced. Far less than the 261s anyway.

WOW. I like the 261, but IMO the USA Version 264 look mouth watering to me. To each his own, but the 264's look SO aggressive.
When I first saw a 335i in person with the sport package I loved the wheels, then the wheels on the 335i sedan with the sport package really started to grow on me alot. UNTIL I saw the 264 wheels in person. HOLLY $HIT. That is what I WANT. SWEET!!! |

I'm probably going to do Volk RE30s, Enkei RPF1s, or BBS Comps, but OZ is another brand I'm looking at. A bit less expensive than Volk, compararable to the others, and very good looking wheels, if a pound or so heavier. Ideally, I'd actually like to step down to a 17" wheel, but I'm not sure what will clear the brakes.

I assume you're looking to save weight? The 17" wheel is definitely lighter than a like wheel at 18". However, the tire should weigh more due to the extra sidewall. In order to accurately assess the end result, you have to compare th ecombination wheel and tire in the two different wheel sizes. They may come out real close to the same. In addition, it's better to have less weight toward the outer portion, so a lighter wheel but heavier tire is less than ideal. In consideration to the brakes, there's a lot of inner diameter space so I think many 17" wheels should work. would be nice if Tire Rack would stop horsing around and figure this stuff out for us! Ultimately, I think 18" is the perfect size for the car, but if a 17" wheel/tire combo happens to be significantly less weight and perhaps cost, that may be the better option. I don't mind the look of the car with a little meat around the wheels.

^^ Seen those years ago... and no, I wouldn't like them... As I stated, I don't mind a little meat around the wheels, as in more sidewall. Did you not read that far???

My Dealer quoted me $2100 with tax TODAY. Tires extra. Pretty pricy but they are :w00t:
