128i(and 1 series) price drop due to going out?
Questions:
1. Over the next few months will dealers discount the 1 series to get rid of the inventory to clear way for the new 2? In most circumstances dealers do this but in this case, as the 128i is a superior car for purists, the dealers may not need to discount at all for them all to be snatched up. 2. For a base 128i + M pkg, how much should I pay? Is there a good place to look up the invoice prices? When I negotiate, is the goal to try to get it as close or below the invoice price as possible? 3. If I buy new from the lot as opposed to custom order, it's possible that someone else may be taken a test drive in the car? If so, wouldn't this make the car a "demo" as opposed to "new" since it's not new because someone else has driven it and may have dumped the clutch, overrevved the engine etc? |

Go to www.truecar.com and go nuts. Generally, invoice is 7% off MSRP. You should DEFINITELY be shopping at and below invoice.

Yes, invoice or below. The 1er is taking a price hit with 2 on the way. The dealers are motivated to move them.
If you are buyng off the lot there is chance it was test driven, and that doesn't tmake it a demo. I wouldn't worry about it. I have bought two brand new BMWs off the lot, one had 4 miles the other 11 miles. |

New to a dealer means no one else has taken legal possession but them.
