So I would like to share that info for the others before I forget: Function Module Field Value Close Windows/Roof with CA CAS KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA aktiv Close Windows/Roof with Fob CAS KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB aktiv Unlock Doors when turn off the car CAS ER_KEYOUT_AUTOVR aktiv Corner Delete Mod NFRM SIDEMARKER_US_MIT_FRA_V nicht_aktiv using your remote to open and close Mirror NFRM ASP_KOMFORT_EINKLAPP aktiv this is for the CIC (with iDrive) NOTE: make sure you update it with the daten v43. Disable iDrive Disclaimer CIC LEGAL_DISCLAIMER_TIME kein_ld for video in motion ( you required all 4) 1. CIC VIDEO_NUR_MIT_HANDBREMSE nicht_aktiv 2. CIC SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MAX_C0E 3_kmh 3. ha! yeah me too. Actually.. many items are configurable... Corner marker light flash.. whether or not the lights stay on when you unlock the doors.. etc.. chime. etc.. Fortunately... Dackel set a few of these items for me in Germany.. Other than that.. I have been too busy driving to sit in the car with a manual to figure this stuff out. |

Any way to code the car to turn off traction control when the M button is pressed?

My car already closes/opens the windows via the remote (if I hold down the lock/unlock button). Does your first coding mean something different ? Second, I can configure the door unlock when ignition is turned off in the idrive settings (or am I confusing this with something else?) I like the idea of the mirrors folding/unfolding when the car is locked. And what is the corner delete ? Is there an independent garage that can do somet of this coding for me in the London/Surrey area ? [UK] ? I don't fancy having BMW extort more money out of me... |

Hi - couple of questions...
My car already closes/opens the windows via the remote (if I hold down the lock/unlock button). Does your first coding mean something different ? Answer # did you code it already or your car comes with the close/open window via the remote? if you applied the code, it will close/open the window via the remote. Second, I can configure the door unlock when ignition is turned off in the idrive settings (or am I confusing this with something else?) Answer # For my car, i have comfort access, and if i turn off the car (push the start/stop button), before coding, it won't unlock the door for me. but after I change that, it will. I like the idea of the mirrors folding/unfolding when the car is locked. And what is the corner delete ? Answer # if your car is in UK, you dont have to do that. it's only USA car. Is there an independent garage that can do somet of this coding for me in the London/Surrey area ? [UK] ? I don't fancy having BMW extort more money out of me...

Congrats on the car, and kudos for kicking of the 1///M coding party.
As my car is in transit, just wanted to run by someone who does not have the electric seat memory option, if making: SPIEGELMEMORY aktiv enables the mirror memory on stripper cars? |

Second freebee I hope to get from coding: do you know / can you find the parameter that controls the passenger mirror tilting down on reverse aka Curb Monitor?
thx |

Found the Curb Monitor parameters (freebee for those of us with stripper cars):
AUT_SPIEGELVERSTELLUNG aktiv SPIEGELABKLAPPEN aktiv BEIKLAPPEN_B_KOMFORTSCHL nicht_aktiv MEMORY_SPIEGELABKLAPPEN aktiv SPIEGELHEIZUNG ptc_kl_15 SITZMEMORY_VERBAUT aktiv V_VAR_SPERRE_BEIKLAPPEN wert_01 LL/RL linkslenker (use rechtslenker if your steering wheel is on the right) SPIEGELHEIZUNG_VERBAUT aktiv ABKLAPPWERT wert_02 Mirror memory in the key fob (without memory seats) is not yet confirmed, looking into that. TBC For the AngelEyes there should be some options for those of you who would like to not use them. So far the only confirmed solution is the delete of the individual broken bulb warning: Because of that, if you take out the bulbs, you will not get a warning. TBC BTW, these coding options are mostly not accessible via the idrive (although there are a few coding options to add menus to the regular user interface). The coding is done by using PC software to change the values of the parameters used by the BMW OEM software for the various micro processors (called xxxx Control modules) in the car. Then loading the changed settings from the computer via the USB port to the cars OBD connector. Query bmw coding if you're interested. Not that I'm a nerd or anything; the above was told to me by a captian Kirk look-a-like at the last StarTrek convention |
