I Kept My 135i

I just bought a 2018 M2 DCT with 6,700 miles in awesome condition. I love my 135i Msport MT and decided I needed to keep it. It will be fun having both cars. My wife just upgraded from a 2016 328i Msport to a M340i Xdrive and both of us are enjoying that car, but I don't think she will let me drive that much lol.

I beg to differ. Once you've mastered driving stick what's the point? I can downshift with roll and heel toe, shift up and down clutchlessly in my sleep. So in other words if I find a badass car with a stick I can drive it competently. Basically knowing stick is about not embarrassing yourself. Driving for pleasure, why would I want manual shift when my DCT gives much faster shifts and additional control that comes with always having both hands on the wheel and both feet always available for gas / brake?

For driving hard DCT or the like is way better than manual shift.

Relax, I'm sure you are the master of the stick.

I don't mean to start an argument about 2 vs 3 pedals, the camps are well documented at this point. I said both of OP's cars are awesome.

Seriously, loved my 135i but just got bored with it. Loving my new (to me) GLI. Also, only got space in my garage for one car. And, only need/want one car.

Got $20 grand for my 1er so I sold it at a good time. More than enough for my GLI, which I'm enjoying a lot. Somewhere down the road will do it all again.

No regrets...

PS - still enjoy reading 1ADDICTS. Been around here since 2008 and old habits die hard. lol

I’d guess even you aren’t exactly Ayrton Senna on the track with the clutch, but even if so, it’s still about fun. What’s the point of fly fishing if you’ve mastered it?

I personally only enjoy stick shift sports cars, and, if I ever change my mind, at that point I’ll probably skip straight to electric.

Anyways, enjoy your cars OP!
