Dealer no clue on DCT issues or water in footwell, but airbag done & OFHG
Finally got around to bringing in my car for many things. I have the DCT hesitation bouncing RPMs many have reported. They can not find anything wrong with it and all my software is up to date, no faults in the system. Guess when I get TBoned because the car hesitates I will just sue BMW... lol Also they can not see any issue that causes the water leaking on my foot either, another issue discussed here.
Oh but they discovered my OFHG was leaking and replaced. These keep going sooner and sooner, eventually BMWs will have a leaky OFHG a week after driving of the lot new... At least I finally got the new airbag so when the DCT gets me in an accident I wont surely perish.

The water is simply condensation from the A/C evaporator (?) harmless until it finds something electrical...

how about get the ppk 1? You will enjoy the extra power, as well as your "new" transmission programming. I mean, yeah, it sucks that this is what you need to do for things to work properly, but it isn't horrible.

Here's your answer:
https://www.1addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1402323 I've gone down this route and I did all of the usual recommendations to deal with the DCT issues which none of them worked until my car was given to a tech at the dealer that finally figured out how to fix it. Since being fixed over a year ago, the car hasn't reverted back to the original problems which all of the usual fixes eventually failed. |

Yeah gonna send him the thread. It actually was acting worse when I picked it up yesterday. Got the lurch for the first time, was in traffic with foot lightly on the brake and the RPMs rev'd and the car jumped forward.

I had exactly the same problem, and the dealer solved it while the car was under warranty. They reprogrammed the DME which took nearly 24 hours! The car ran a bit differently, but it behaved itself in slow traffic.
I believe they followed the SA mentioned in your link. |

Without any faults or errors they are not willing to do anymore work, my car is CPO. Told them I will take the tech for a drive and show him what it is doing and they said ok lets do that....

Both of my 135i's have had the water in the footwell issue.
BMW published a TSB about it, but it only applies to model years 2008 and maybe 2009. I tried having the issue addressed on my second car, but they gave me the typical, "could not replicate issue" run around. I don't want them removing the dash anyway. |

I still get the hunting idle sometimes but it never flares above 1100rpm. I have raised my idle to 800rpm under all conditions.
It seems to do it most when my foot isn't firmly on the brake pedal (insufficient foot pressure despite enough to hold the car stationary). To best illustrate it, it's like an early manual EFI car with hydraulic power steering and you're about to stall so the ECU blips the throttle up a bit. I have the latest DME software but downgraded my DCT software to almost the factory level. I don't believe the DCT software has anything to do with it, but rather the 'fix' is in the DME software. |

had the same lurching issue, but only when the AC was on. did the SIB 12-15-14 update at the dealership and that didn't help
heard that resetting the dct adaptations may help so had it reset for me remotely and now its been running awesome for the last year, ac on or off not sure if the update from the dealer had to be done first and then the adaptation reset, but the reset ended up being what actually helped |
