Rear interior panel damage

How might one go about fixing this damage without replacing the entire panel?

This is on the passenger side. Originally thought it might be from the seatbelt, but why it's only on one side (and the lesser used side) doesn't seem right. Someone prior to me must have scraped it with something sharp/abrasive.

Thanks.

Only way you're going to fix that is by retrimming the panel in vinyl or leather, and then it likely won't match the rest of the panels.
That'll probably cost more than replacing the panel with a used one.

For a tactical fix you could try some closely matched touch up paint or nail polish.

Find a leather/interior repair specialist, like the one your dealer uses. Around here an acceptable repair on that would run about $50.
