Does the e82 essentially use the suspension components from the e92? If so, could an M3 suspension be robbed for parts for the e82 in the same way it can be for the e92?

Only ask because I'm considering a dedicated track car

all of the M3 suspension parts available here: http://www.hpashop.com/category.sc?categoryId=113 can be used on the E82.

Yes, just about all the links can be used from the M3 on the E82
