Had a look at the 435i M sport today, looks really good. Exhaust note was very tame though, kind of disappointing. Didn't get a chance to test drive.

Great looking car imo, but i have to say the value equation after viewing and test driving a CLA 45 is where the 435 leaves me scratching my head. I am cross shopping these two and my reasoning is they are similar in size, the CLA has near redundant rear seats just like a coupe. The performance is where there would be a radical difference, i have not yet driven the 435 though. Just assuming at this stage, but i think it is pretty safe to say the AMG is going to kill it in every aspect.

I know some of you will say you should be putting it up against the M235 but i personally wouldn't go for a 2er. I am sure quite a few will be looking at it my way as well. Mercedes with the CLA have really brought it on, i am loving it.

Maybe you should also consider the S3 sedan.... Killer pricing on the S3 5 door so it's safe to say same aggressive pricing for the sedan. Just add a tried and tested APR and off you go, with $20K+ in your wallet.

At driveaway $102k (for loyal customer) is a pretty good value nonetheless. Would make a great daily driver.

Yup, every box ticked.
Elegant, pretty car, but paying that much more to lose 2 doors seems strange to me

lol not bad but it still didnt feel right. I mean I can't compared with my 335 coz it's totally different league but I always find that the VW GTI are always overhyped ! Only thing shits me is anywhere along north shore when I test drive a car the salesman do not follow for the test drive(VW bmw etc except Mercedes! Some reason i find morrison mercedes is bunch of SNOBS! ) but in parramatta the salesman always comes along for the test drive!! it's so annoying because you cannot discuss within your family and friends if they are there with you! especially buying a used car!

A few pics of the launch night in Brisbane. Was held at QLD Ballet with a never before seen rehearsal of the Li Cunxin production of the Nutcracker.

Was quite interesting

Interesting tie-in there between the ballet and BMW cars. Meanwhile Lexus are sponsoring the ARU matches. What's up with that?

Nope, that was actually a 428i... I assume anything with the Msport package gets the M badges... very lame.

I think that grill looks really cheap too :S
