Has anyone bought any accessories yet?
I am thinking about aluminum pedals and floormats to start, but haven't had any luck finding them for sale at dealers yet. Can they be ordered now that the BMW part numbers are available?
Any word on a PHATBOX type system yet that will hook up to the CD changer wiring? I think with the MP3 capability on the in dash CD player (without nav), I will forego a CD changer in favor of a PHATBOX type system... If you know where I can order them for a decent price in CA, let me know please. |

You should consider the all weather mats...the yhold a ton of water and lots of sand. I'll never use carpet mats again. I can't wait to get the alum. pedals either. Try Circle BMW...they have discounted OEM accessories and they are in NJ so no sales tax:
http://www.circlebmw.com/parts/acc.htm HINT: Just enter E90 for the "series" and hit SEARCH....don't fill in anything else.

I'd be interested in a phatbox, too. I went to their website but they don't appear to be compatible with BMW stereo head units. Not sure, though. Let us know if anyone knows better. I also wonder if this type of device lets you store sound files in a very high quality format (requiring more disk storage) so that you get CD sound quality.

I just did a little research and it appears you are right about Phatbox. They don't look like they offer BMW compatibility. (funny because the illustration on their website shows an e46...). I am sure you can rip the songs in whatever bit rate you want on the phatbox, just like with an Ipod, but it looks like the phatbox won't be availble for us....
Icelink looks like a good alternative though. I like the fact that I can take my Ipod with me too when I go to work or to the airport for a trip. It's nice to have your tunes all in one place. Thanks for the tip on the other accessories. |

Correction. It does look like phatbox is available for at least some BMWs. Here's a link: http://store.yahoo.com/phatnoise/bmw.html Looks like you can get 40, 60, and 80GB. |

Please see my second post. Also, I just sent phatnoise an email asking them about compatibility with E90 and if they know of any issues. If I get a response that seems worthwhile, I'll post it on this thread. |

I bought the BMW alarm for $300.00. It won't be in at the dealer until June, but I'll feel a lot better once it's in. I always feel better when I lock the doors and I hear some kind of sound saying the car is armed.

In one of the commercials, when the guy hit the unlock button on the key, the angel eyes automatically came on. Is this something that can be programmed at the dealer?

I ordered the Carbon Fiber front lips, the rear spoiler, and the aluminum pedals. I just got off the phone with my CA who said my car just came in and they're installing the above accessories as we speak....Tomorrow is the big day for the pickup....won't be able to sleep tonight

For me, I plan to get
-Alarm -Rear parking sensors -Rear deck spoiler -Front turn signal --> clear -Top part of rear lights --> clear I plan to get the alarm and parking sensors from the dealership, since those involve wiring. For the other exterior parts, I will get them aftermarket. By the way, the parking sensors are very helpful! I have them on my Legacy and they've helped me get out of tight spaces. It's also helpful when you're backing out, and a pedestrian suddenly walks behind your car. You will hear a warning sound and avoid killing that pedestrian. |

Oh yes, sorry, I meant the ones that are factory installed.
But aftermarket parking sensors now come in some common colours other than black, like silver. |
