Replica Rims

I got some questions about some Replica Rims, hope you guys can help me out here.

I have totally NO evidence, but i just heard that replica rims are not as reliable and will affect the handling of the car when installed. The reason is that the materials used in the replica rims aren't as good, so they tend to behave weirdly or something, and then the car's handling are somewhat affected. Is this true? cause i'm planning to get these replica rims which i can actually afford, and i'm just afraid it will screw up my car.

Hope you guys can correct this theory for me, thnx

Dude, lots of people in here are using replica wheels, and they're okay. No offense though, but avoid those made in China.

No problem

I have M5 Replicas on my 5 series and had M Parallels on my old 740. Never had a problem (except for self inflected curb rash, ouch). Made in Italy.

Go for it. Im going the replica route myself, just waiting for my rims to be released. I don't think the difference in build quality would be dramatically different. For the driving "everyday folks" are doing, replicas would do just fine. For track use however, it might be a different story.

i'm thinking about these ones, can anyone sorta help me find out if it's reliable or not? Or just give me some comments about it. I personally think there's no free lunch in this world, so this set of rims for this kind of cheap price, i don't know if i should trust them.

Those are nice. Hartge classic replicas. As far as quality, i wouldnt be able to give you a solid answer. I think you would be fine though.

I think this one is nicer, classic Hartge replica. This guys just marked up the price for $170 more which is ridiculous. Used to be $899 a few days ago. I didn't buy it because I had to pay 8.25% tax.

um...I've seen this one b4. cause of the pictures taken isn't that good of an angle i think, i can't really see how the rims really look like. The one i posted, the angle of the rim looks more attracting to me.

Anyways, the one you(pretender) posted are silver, which is bascially want i wanted. The hartge comes with silver or chrome, and i prefer silver. The one i posted doesn't say, but i think they are chrome to me. I don't know which rim to get!!!!!!

Make sure there is some evidence someone has fit them onto a E90, for extra security. I believe the 330i brakes are also larger than the 325i, so I think that is your last bit of homework to do before the purchase.

The one you posted was the old style with 11 skinny pokes. Don't look really good on E90. The new one Classic (with lip) and Classic 2 are 10-poke wheels. See pic. below.
The classic 2 from ebay compared to the those real ones put in the car on Hartge website.

Are those silver or chrome? i really want Silver, cause i have a black 330. I personally(no offense to anyone) think chrome rims are just too ricey for 330. So i prefer silver. If there's only chrome, i guess i'll just stick with the stock rims.
