accident with 1er = depression for life

hey guys,

About a month ago, i got it a horrific accident on the 210 in very dense traffic. A lady behind me a a jaguar rammed into me from behind, causing me to ram into my friend's is350 in front of me. Lucky, i was in a BMW , so i was unharmed. I was pretty traumatized when it happened, so when BMW assist asked me if i was alright, i actually had no idea who was talking to me, haha. The lady hit me hard enough to cause my radio to leak and my airbag light to go off without the airbag actually doing so. Because of the light going on, i was unable to start the engine. now on to the pictures...

To make matters even worse, after my car was placed at the body shop, some A-hole hopped the fence and stole my rims and my cf spoiler....

So, as of now, my car is at the body shop, indoors, waiting for repair. The only good thing that comes out of all of this, is that I will be able to upgrade to the m-sport rear bumper and a performance front Also, because the shop's insurance is also covering my spoiler and rims, I will be able to opt for aftermarket rims. That's all for now, update as soon as I learn about anything else...

No wheel locks? I would get them with the new rims. Keep checking on eBay and Craigslist for wheels that match yours and call the police.

Wow it goes to show the structure of these cars seeing as how they were still able to connect your tow hook. At least your safe and the airbags didn't go off. Plus now your gonna get more upgrades. Keep us posted.

As sad as it is that you were in this accident involving you and a friend, and neither of you were at fault, at least both of you are left unharmed. Your car (if it had to) could be replaced. Your life could not. Happy Holidays!

Good luck with your upgrades, stay safe!

I know what exactly what your talking about man. Ive already been hit twice, once by a bus!

Glad your ok. And the airbags DO NOT deploy in a rear end collision, ask me how I know.

From the damage, I'm amazed that the airbag did not deploy. I've seen far less frontal damage that caused the airbag to be deployed before...

Make sure you talk with your insurance company about diminished value of your car. Like it or not, your car is worth less, once damaged. Insurance companies will pay you for the diminished value, if the accident was not your fault.

Glad you were not hurt. Waiting for repairs sucks.

I think it was caused by your license plate number (I got a cold chill when I saw it), mine is 6HDV082.
That series of numbers has a big bulls eye on it.
I got a rock in the windshield with less than a week on the car. Then I got rear ended at a stop light with less than a month, (minor damage, just replaced the bumper cover). And then another rock in the windshield, after another month.
I think I need a vanity plate.

Glad you are okay! Sorry you had to be the meat in that Beverly Hills-style Lexuar sandwich, but your replacement parts should go some ways toward making you feel better! Looks like Mario the tow guy couldn't put his Italian Combo down long enough to get your ride up on the truck. Anyway, those OZ's and the BMWP front end will look sweet! Be well and Happy Holiday!

Good, because airbags aren't even useful in a rear end collision(same thing for a seat belt)

I was in a rear end collision where the impact was dead center on my rear bumper and the force of collision cracked the rear bumper bar in half, moved my car 5ft (with my foot solidly on the brake pedal) and caused 3 of the 4 motormounts on the car that hit me to sheer.

Airbags in his car, none on mine.

im so glad that the airbags didn't go off, since she didn't come at me at a high rate of speed. if they went off, i would have actually had an injury.

smal update. My dad headed over to the shop to hand over a check for about $5k from the insurance company after the shop found more damages. Most of the parts are in and the 1er is up on the lift. here are a few quick shots.
