Smile Local SoCal BMW Enthusiast Forum/Thread

Hello New Friends!

First thread, long time lurker! Very happy that I have joined the BMW community after purchasing my 135is!

I have a quick question, however I am not sure if this is the right place to ask.. as I don't know if this belongs here or, "Site Related Announcements" or "DIY" and I could not find this using the search function.

Is there a bimmer post forum/1addicts thread available, that someone can send me in the right direction, where local BMW enthusiasts can ask other local BMW enthusiasts to help them install certain aftermarket parts? Where you can meet up with them, and they help guide you by offering their advice on the particular install you are trying to accomplish etc?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

you're kind of in it lol (although we share this subform with the norcals). it's not as active as other local threads but that's because our numbers aren't that big. yeah people respond to posts here so feel free to post away.

I’m also new to the area, and my ‘10 E82 128i.

Any recommendations on solid mechanics in the San Fernando Valley? I’ve used “The Haus” in Van Nuys once, and they were good, but I’d like to find out if there are options vetted by forum members instead of just Yelp.

Thanks in advance.

Is there anyone local in Orange County (preferably a bimmerpost member) that can install rear sub-frame bushings?

They definitely do! It's taken me like 6 years to find a shop that I actually trust my cars with and JMP really takes the cake - fantastic customer service, honest, good prices, and Jerrick, the owner, is really one of the nicest dudes I've ever met. You should check them out!

Is there another sub-forum I can ask regarding the above? Especially since two other members asked the same thing.

That one is tough to find an individual to do for you because you need the rental tool.

That being said in the SFV I've used The Haus and they were good to me.

Check out https://www.funfzehnauto.com/
https://www.instagram.com/funfzehnauto/

It's run by a friend of mine who used to be a BMW dealer tech, left the dealer and went out on his own (they still call on him to do certain things none of their other techs are able to do).

I don't yet own a BMW but hopefully soon I will. And anything I can't do myself I'll be sending to Kenneth. If you hit him up, tell you Colin Lenkeit referred you.

He's actually hosting a BMW CCA meet/event at the shop this upcoming Sunday which I plan to attend.
