Leatherique is THE Stuff to put on your leather
I'm impressed, period. I don't normally care about car care product, I think all of them are similar but This stuff is just Good.
I've Coral Red leather interior for both my 135 and Z4. The leather on the 135 seems dry from Day 1, and it didn't really bother me, and I think it's just the way it is. But the leather looks a bit dirty on the 135 after a year, so I decided to get it cleaned. Looked around forums and seem like a lot of people praises Leatherique's product, so I gave it a try. I follow the instruction, use a spray bottle and ~4oz a seat. Massage the oil into the seat with a sea sponge. then covered the seat with a black garbage bag and put it under the California sun for ~5hrs. Then use their Prestine Clean cleaner to clean the seats again. I didn't see any white haze the instruction mentions, I guess my leather is in better condition than I thought. Anyways, after it's all done, just WOW. My seats are so soft now, and the color is now much more vibrant than before. This stuff makes the seats look BETTER than when I got it from the dealership 1yr ago. On the Z4, it's ~5yrs old, and exposed to the sun more often coz it's a vert, soak up more oil than the 135, but the end result is the same. Soft seat and vibrant color. Highly recommend this product, especially those who has Coral red, I think this color needs some of this stuff on Day 1. They always seems dry. |

Nice review. Did you ever Saddle Soap your seats tho? That takes the dryness out without making the leather feel like crap.

Does it still keep the matte leather, or does it add a semi gloss sheen to it? I cannot stand shiny leather... makes me think of Armorall.
Leatherique's website shows all shiny seats. Just wondering how it works on our specific seats. |

Oh, I forgot to mention that. Yes, it keeps the Matte Leather look, which is freaking awesome. I guess that's because the oil soak into the leather to make it soft where Armor All crap is more of a surface sealant or something that make the leather all shiny... I can't take shiny leather either

Glad to hear the Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil and Leatherique Prestine Clean helped restore your leather. I aboslutely love these products and the results on virtually all leather and leatherette (vinyl) surfaces. Best of all it leaves a nice matte finish. Many other leather care products leave a coating or fillers behind to make the leather look nice, but it doesn't help the long term health of the leather. Leatherique uses only the best ingredients to keep the leather looking and feeling it's best for years to come.

It depends on the amount of use/abuse the seats take and UV exposure. I generally re-use it ever 3 - 4 months as a guideline, but it depends on those factors I listed above. In between I just use a damp cloth to wipe the seats down and remove any loose surface contaminants or oils.

cheers thanks for the info greg.
the reason why i asked this question is because i've read that " Leatherique is not a replacement for the regular leather cleaners/conditioners we all use. It is a rejuvenation process designed to be soften leather and deep clean." is there any truth to that? |

Can you still get it? Connolly went out of business a few years ago, and I recall lots of people scrambling to get the last inventory of it. Has someone continued making it?
I never really cared for it, as it was designed for non coated leathers. I do really like Spinneybeck leather treatment though, they make a version for coated and another for non-coated leathers. |
