WeissLicht Angel eye upgrade

Sorry for such a Rookie question. My car had upgraded Angel eyes however I just replaced them with WeissLicht. How do I get my outer rings to burn brighter. The ones that I replaced them with didn’t burn bright on the outer rings also.

Thanks,
b

I don’t believe there’s a way. They’re powered by the same bulb, which hits the inner lights first.

Can you take a night pic? I have Lux Angel eyes installed and they look much brighter. Maybe you dont have them set (screwed in) correctly?

Will post pics later.

Angel Eyes

Hello guys I am a new member.

I am the owner of a BMW 120d e82 2012 and I want to install angel eyes (with the eyebrow) instead of the halogen headlights which are install from the factory.

I did a survey and I realized that the specific angel eyes with the eyebrow are much more expensive than the angel eyes without the eyebrow!

I attached a picture with the angel eyes that I'm looking for.

Anyone can help me?

I installed these:

$210 and look very nice. No lit eyebrow, but take the stock bulbs, or LED H7 bulbs.

Yeah, I had the dealer replace mine under warranty, and they were something like $3K each!

I have the stock lights and both angel eyes light up. I think it's a bit brighter than the original poster's picture. I'll try to get a picture today.

Yeah, it’s hard to tell from the pic, but my stock lights appear to light up more than the OP’s (outer lights are dimmer than inner lights, though.) It’s possible the OP’s bulbs aren’t screwed in all the way.

I think I will install something similar with your headlights because that one that I want with the eyebrow (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-1-SER...AAAOSw8hxbO~3~) cost too much.

I have 2 questions:

1)Is there any chance of those headlights you sent me of not being compatible with my model (120d) because that specific one is compatible for models 128i & 135i as I can see from the description.

2) Moreover, I would like to change my fog lights in order to have the same colour (white) with my new headlights. Any ideas? (led or xenon fog lights?)

I'd like to see the invoice on that...

The OEM Adaptive Xenons for LCI cars (with eyebrow) are about $1200 including modules and bulbs.

1. I'm not familiar enough with the 120d to say. 2. These come with halogen lights, so somewhat yellow, the angel eyes are LED and about 6000K white. You could easily swap in similar color LEDs to all positions, H7 for the headlights, and IIRC H1s for the fogs.

Regarding the fog lights, shall I change the whole fog light to get the led one or shall I just change the bulb of the fog light?

Sure thing. That did include control units, and the installation, so maybe that's the difference??? I don't have copy of the invoice handy, and I believe they took about $1500 off when negotiating with the warranty company, but here's a shot of the estimate from BMW:

Idk even with all that it shouldn't be quite that much, sounds like the dealer might have been squeezing the warranty a bit lol. This pic is right from BMW part center.

You should only need to change the halogen to LED.

Yeah, I don't know, but it scared the crap out of me. Glad to know they can be had for much less independently.
