Driver side daytime (angel eyes) lights DIY?

is there a DIY to replace the angel eyes/daytime running lights on the driver side of my LCI e82?

they just went out and the CC-ID is 378.

also, i'm wondering what bulb i need to buy for this.

thanks!

Remove back cover from headlight (2 clips)
Unclip electrical connector
Twist to remove old bulb
Install new bulb
Reattach electrical connector
Replace back cover and clips. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE COVER ON STRAIGHT AND THE CLIPS ARE SECURELY FASTENED. IF NOT, WATER MAY GET INTO THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING AND DAMAGE OTHER COMPONENTS (ask me how I know...)

H8 bulb

Looks like the stock one is 35W so that's what I'd go with to match your other side

Replace them both with something whiter. Looks 1000x better.

I finally replied to your PM.

You want 35W, H8. Around 4200-4300K colour temp.

Update***

i picked up the replacement bulbs from a local dealer for ~$30CAD. part # is 07119906503 as BimmerAG posted above. it's an H8 35W bulb.

i'm not mechanically inclined whatsoever but replacing this bulb was SUPER EASY in case anyone is wondering. i was trying to be super careful with not damaging anything and it took me under 10 mins from opening the hood to closing the hood.

How did you guys get the back cover on? It's a very tight squeeze and I can't seem to get both sides of the cyber clipped back on. ONLY the sides closest to the centre clip on but I can't get the clips closet to the fenders on.

I'm facing this problem for both left and right headlights.

i’ve only done the driver side so can’t comment on the passenger side.

but for the drive side, time and patience is key. you also want to ensure the deal is perfect to avoid water damage. i tried to make sure that the bottom side is lined up perfectly too. i had my girlfriend hold a flashlight shining into my working area which helped!

Thanks.

Turned out me doing all this in the middle of the night in darkness was not a great idea.

I pulled off the cover again this morning and realised I had forced it on without lining up the bottom holes. After stirring that out all was good.
Still extremely tight to manoeuvre the covers back on. I think only the 135i has such a cramped space behind the headlights

glad you finally got it to fit on properly. sorry for forgetting to mention about those two holes at the bottom. it's way easier if you line those up first!
