I am really glad I didnt get in as I got 2 more limp modes on the way home, both happening when going from ~70 to 110 - it would of sucked to have limped down the 1/4 mile.

You're in Eastern Creek at the closest service station to a drag racing strip. And you're surprised there are bogans?

Suj ran a 12.31 @ 117mph

we only got one run each! The day was aboslutely packed with people turned away at the gate cause they were at capacity.

I think some people were lucky enough to get two runs.

That's awesome for Suj's first run and attempt ever.

There must of been some pissed off campers, not getting a run.

I have reset all the adaptations with a Bavtech tool and it seems to have resolved it. I am still going to get it checked over as I am certainly going on Wednesday night to try again.

My first, one and only run ever (LEFT). There was a lot waiting game and then when the moment came it sort of happened far too quickly to comprehend what actually went down. I would certainly like to go back on a quieter day with some of our regular 1er guys and try to learn a bit more. However, saying that.. I don't think there is much to do in an AT car - especially if it has a transmission with LC. I can't help but get the feeling all I did was hit a pedal for a few seconds and then got a timeslip. Clearly the fun with drags is with a manual car where far greater skill levels are required. From my one experience so far, I have to say I prefer some circuit work as there is more driver input required.

For the 1ers that didn't make it in and missed the cut off you actually did yourself a favor by going back. There were HEAPs of cars... mostly modded holdens of some type... and it was far too busy to fit in multiple runs.

Suj should do it on a Wednesday night... you will get at lease 2-3 runs..

Dont you have Paddle shift in your C63? I know driving in a straight line isnt hard to do in an Auto, but its all about experimenting with your car with and without LC, paddle shifting at the right RPM, tire pressure, and beating your best time

It was a great day at WSID. Well done to Suj and Stu for pulling those times. I missed the cutoff time but managed to talk the officials into letting me take Stu's allocation. Thanks for your race spot Stu.
I only managed 2 runs. Best was 12.38 @112.62mph. Couldn't get it off the line.

Here's my quick pic with iphone taken at the traffic lights turning into Brabham drive...

4 x black 135s if Edwin were there it would've been 5! I reckon we almost have enough black 135s to go start our own forum ... or at least arrange a black 135 photoshoot!
