AHHHHH YEAHHH!!!!! Can't wait for a few late night runs after ball training. If we're lucky we may get the old man to come in the RS5.
Neither can i bro, i reckon baldy will be fast asleep at 9pm so no luck from Mr Saudi in Audi. Thank God i have my wedding and honeymoon coming up so it takes a month of waiting out of my mind

BTW we have to smash the Atranig team this sunday, Matti wasn't suppose to make it but i persuaded him to demoralise the players like he did to the Japamate player last week I couldn't stop laughing at the hardcore block he did, then Matti stood over him lol.

Lol at the baldy.

I'm so glad Matti's playing this Sunday. Good work. Yeah that block was awesome. He's a quiet achiever. We need a 20-30 point win.

AMG Suspension

If you are interested in A45 or CLA45, be sure to tick the option box for AMG suspension.

It does provide a firmer ride than the standard 'Sports' suspension but it also gives better feedback than same. The Sports suspension was soft and ambiguous when i tried it in the A250. The AMG suspension is NOWHERE as stiff nor bone jarring as reported by the motoring press. It is definitely more compliant and not as harsh as the M.

If you intend to track the 45, you may regret not having the AMG's.

One of the dealers said that a bulletin came from MB Aus telling dealers to persuade customers away from that option as it is unbearable for daily commuting.

You should ask to see that bulletin.
Hard to believe MB OZ would issue such bulletin nor MB AG to condone it.

Just a lot of people interpreting what the AMG suspension would be based on press concerns before it really hit the main roads.
IIRC others on this forum have driven it and found it acceptable.
Best to take one with the AMG suspension for a drive to be sure.

The CLA45AMG is less than 95k, so why not?

My first A45 ON THE ROAD

Saw my first A45 on the road - looks aggressive in black with big, big red AMG callipers. BUT.....This one had a 1970's lotus whale tail on the rear and looked hideous and cheap like a Proton with a WRX Scoop.

Visited a dealer and enquired on CLA45 - They had a CLA200 in stock and it looks great but was told the CLA45 is way into mid next year for delivery. 97k was the price I was quoted.
Wife and kids approved so see what happens....Dealer will call when they get the A45 Demo so I can take a drive

Drive in M mode

If you need to test the auto mode, maybe S.

C is useless and for fuel rating only I suspect.

I'm travelling in December prior to Christmas and will miss the day but hopefully Pete could do one at the oil service after 1500k run in.

I wasn't so sure about the look of the CLA45 from the pics, however was passing thru Parra and dropped into MB. They have a black one on the floor. Wow... Looks real nice in black with silver wheels. Reeeaaal nice.

Only downside was sales guy said Nov2014 delivery !

I have a client that works upstairs for a high profile Sydney BMW dealer.
She says that you can pretty much wright your own deal on any BMW ATM they are desperate to sell anything.
I wonder why The Mercs are comming

Not surprised to be honest, my MB dealer just called me to tell me my order is put in for June delivery instead of March/April. These cars are selling like hot cakes.

The A45 AMG is cetainly a nice piece of kit and I would be in the market for one if I was looking to change the garage. Lovely fit, finish and design detail for those looking for an uber classy hot hatch. Looking forward to see how reliably tunable these thing will be and if there are any Achilles components. For those in the market or waiting for one...congrats

I will be happy to hold on to the old uber modded 135 horse for now. Still love the high horsepower rear drive twin turbo 6. Only replacment temptation is the R35 GTR....and thats just a 100k too far up the tree.

I put an order in for a CLA45 a little while ago, and the wait times are ridiculous.
I need the four doors and a boot, so the CLA presents a worthwhile consideration for a new car. The rear pews are purely to transport two little ones so the minimal headroom in the back isn't an issue.

The key is to not lose patience in the next god-knows how many months. Otherwise a used C63 presents a worthwhile alternative.

Seems to be the odd cancelled order, so if u willing to compromise on colour, u might get lucky. I am going to start hunting in the new year.
