back to dealer (maybe another HPFP)
Well, I have an '09 (10/08 build) and I had the HPFP replaced at about 3300 miles or so. I've got 7700 on the car now and as I was driving to work, I noticed the car not feeling real peppy. I got off the freeway and the car started to shutter a bit, then the engine malfunction / reduced power light and SES lights came on. I turned the car off and had to crack it for 15 seconds to start it. Symptoms almost mirror the HPFP symptoms, except this time it happened quickly.
Last time I was getting longer starts for a month or so before the thing gave way.. Oh well, I should know more tomorrow. -b |

well, picked up my car today and sure enough, they replaced my HPFP again. Second time in 7700 miles. SA acted like it's no big deal, well of course not, he's not the one that was inconvenienced... AGAIN!

Meh, 5900 miles on my 09/08 build 135i before the HPFP went out. I'm running a tune as well. I'm starting to think its the ethanol and other additives in the fuel that's causing the problems. Hopefully BMW will come out with a sturdier HPFP soon! Even the 881 HPFP isn't cutting it.

My car started acting up again
After getting the HPFP replaced at 3000 miles, just experienced my first long start and SES light. Going in to dealer on Friday to get things checked out. Also my washer fluid is not working. One more thing, my auto 135i forgot to shift today after I punched it. I made sure I wasn't in Sport Mode and was wondering why I was almost at redline before I manually shifted with my paddle shifters. I am beginning to wonder what the hell is wrong with BMW now a days. My '04 X5 has performed perfectly. Not sure what to think anymore.
