Is the owner of the 1M that was in this video belong to this forum? I was listening to the podcast for this show and they mentioned they caused some curb rash to one of his wheels but it was repaired really well from refinishing. i'm thinking about refinishing a wheel as well but not sure how effective that process is.

I've had zcp wheels refurbished and the results were amazing. You never would have known. You just need someone that knows what they are doing.

Awesome. I figure I'll save quite a bit of money versus buying replacement wheels.

Sorry guys I posted a duplicate link before I saw this. My 1M and e30 M3 star in this Video. The Everyday Driver guys are very good people.

Just watched this last night. Not as entertaining as other journalists out there, but very informative instead. Very much objective in their opinions (which they are clear about). Makes me very happy when they talk about the 1M! Their opinions are exactly the same as mine except for beauty. I love the lines of the 1M, I think it looks good from every angle...can't say the same for the M2 personally.

i wonder why they rounded up so many individuals (per their podcast, it was super difficult) when they could have just gone to Enthusiast Auto in Ohio who has severals vehicles of each (presently no 1M's though!)

Because we all agreed to let them use the cars for no money. I'm sure EAG wouldn't have allowed them to use their cars for this comparo.

The movie is for profit...so I would suspect spending *some* money to get every single car would be worth it. Not to mention, when I visited them, they let me drive every single M3 without issue. I had to tell them I wanted to leave before they would stop "oh, drive this one." EAG has five E30 M3's on their lot right now - that's pretty crazy! I'm sure a film like this would have been good advertising for them.

Did you listen to their podcast by chance regarding the event?

Redadair, wondering what your thoughts were on the cars? Especially since you have the 1M, E30 and ZHP.

Great video
LOL, yes, I agree. It is friendly and forgivable with traction control on but if you turn it all off, I agree and is trying to kill me. Also, while I agree that the steering is better in the 1M than the new BMWs, I don't really tout it that much because I find the older E46 to have better feedback than both. However, the gearbox in my 1M is awesome. It's the best BMW gearbox I have ever had. However I bought my ZHP used and it might have been better new. Currently it's a bit hard in 2nd gear.

nachob, I recently sold my ZHP to my sister. I purchased an 06 M3 ZCP package 6 speed manual. And while I would say the steering feel is great on the e46's I also agree the 1M feels better to me. The 1M is still the best feeling BMW I have ever driven, and I have been driving them since high school and my 1600.

They had actually just bought my Z4M from me because I was buying a 1M from a private party, so they definitely knew I wasn't buying another car anytime soon (although they had just sold an 06 M3 ZCP manual that I would have been interested in).

Thanks for being part of the movie.

Whew! I was starting to think you were reading my thoughts. I'll have to make a pilgrimage through Murray one day and pay my respects.

On the subject of the films, I love these guys. They bring a really fresh perspective on the reviews.

Murray, do you know which stretch of road Icon was filmed? I'm driving to SLC in July from Phoenix and figured I might take a detour just to drive that road.
