PCD is Performance Center Delivery, so once you are done, you have your car and you can do whatever you want with your car at that point. Drive it home is the normal process. If you want to ship it back to your home state, that is all on your.

Shipping back to the states (and your purchasing dealer) is part of the Euro Delivery process, which is completely different than PCD. You can do Euro Delivery and PC re-delivery. I have a friend who did that, and it doubles your fun , especially since he did the 2 Day ///M school while he was doing PCD.

A rumor crossed my eyes from this thread that our 128-135's will soon be 2ers (1ers getting down to smaller Euro stuff & the forthcoming FWD BMW offerings), and that our "1 series M Coupé" would soon re-emerge as the M2...FWIW

On another note, congrats on yer 1M! Sweet-looking ride!

Yes, and it is funny because the guy said to keep it under 4k RPMs, but when I got bored today I opened the owner's manual and it said 5.5K RPMs for the first 1200, something it also said that no one has mentioned is that it takes 300 miles to break in the transmission. I'm going to actually look through the manual tomorrow or something.

not as I understand it. You get you butt to SC, have dinner, stay the night on BMW, have fun the next day. THEN you are on your own to ship or drive the car home.

edit: just saw the other posts, my bad

Im trying this ^^ (minus the m-school - I think its a couple grand, no?)

BMW runs m-school purchase inclusion specials from time to time. It was last included in CPO M-purchase I think. I havent heard anything about free mschool with 1M. Too bad b/c it seems this crowd maybe more so than other M-buyers are more likely to track.

from bmwusa.com
  • Can the BMW Performance Center transport a vehicle to a customer’s home after delivery?
  • The BMW Performance Center can only transport vehicles to the customer’s selling BMW center. The shipping cost will be at the customer or center’s expense. Upon the customer's or the BMW center's request, the BMW Performance Center can obtain quotes for the shipping charge.

Congrats on an amazing car and the amazing write up.

How the hell do you get the fans to switch on when you unlock the car? The dudes I have dealt with in Australia mostly no clue about the cars they sell!
