Bracket on Windshield - What is it for?

Anyone else have a plastic bracket adhered to the windshield under the driver's wiper? What's it for?

It is part of the shipping package...... It should have been removed on PDI.

Garage List
They left mine on too. As I understand it, a pen-shaped magnetic "tool" was kept there in order to turn the battery cut-off switch on/off.

Sorry for the delay S4Sprint..... Yes, Drillslinger is right. It was used for a magnetic pen for enable/disable the cut off relay.
Cheers and enjoy your great car!

Well now that we know that much please finish the explanation on what the cut off relay does. Is this a relay that completely isolates the battery to eliminate electrical consumption during the overseas boat ride? Is the pen used from outside the car so they do not even have to pop the trunk or the hood open? Where is the relay? Is there anything else we can learn about this pen/relay? Meanwhile I really enjoy this fabulous car and glad I purchased it.
Thanks again.

Can someone take advantage of this tool to disable a car's alarm system?

Isn't this related to the "Master Battery Switch" (BMW code S818A) ?

No, the wiring and receiver for "pen" is removed on PDI. They will have just missed the bracket.
