I am, it actually came in a lot quicker than I thought it would. I was expecting end of the month or early Feb. I believe BMW finally sent a big 1M stock over to the U.S. to stop from having to special order them from Germany.

Car is back in the shop, 3rd time in less than a month. I'd asked them to fix the leaky washer fluid reservoir which they tested and said was fine, sure enough had a huge puddle under my car this week so in she goes.

Good thing is I have a brand new 430 vert to play with in the meantime lol

It's more than likely the pump -- cheap fix. The one on mine was leaking when I bought the car and I replaced it quickly while doing some other maintenance.

Do you have a warranty taking care of this? If so, taking the 430 vert and letting them fix it on their dime is definitely the way to go!

Oh yeah, all warranty lol. If you haven't seen this thread yet, you may not know I use this warranty for everything I possibly can lol

I had a new X5 for a week last time, and two days ago, and yesterday I traded that for the 430 to try something different haha

Last night I knocked out a Meguiar's waterless wash and wax bath and armor all wheel protectant in my garage in preparation for the weekend! The Meguiar's is pretty awesome if your car has just a little bit of dust or water marks that need removing.

Keep this up and we're going to have to nickname you the "warranty man". Haha

Kidding aside, glad you have your warranty to cover all these things. You're really getting your money's worth.

You should give us a short review of the 430i and let us know what you think of the new turbo 4 cylinder (B46) engine.

You know it! I'm very happy I went for the warranty.

I'll definitely do a little write-up on the 430 as well, it's a pretty slick car. The B46 is very impressive so far

The question is... how's the steering?

Bad. I had a 5 & 328i 2016 loaner and they weren't even close. I sincerely hope they can improve on this.

Kinda what I expected. Lets see what Matticus91 has to say about the 430i.

What didn't I do today? Dropped it off to get the Jb4 tune reinstalled, the plugs changed, the boost solenoid changed, intake cones installed, just a whole bunch of fun

Went for a good hard drive for the first time in months. I haven't been able to open it right up lately because I've been getting horrendous misfires, low-boost codes and VANOS. The other day I changed the spark plugs and coils, replaced the fraying vacuum lines between the diverter valves and changed the VANOS solenoids. The car would go into limp mode as soon as I did a pull all the way to redline.

The results? VANOS codes are gone. Low-boost code still pops up every so often and the misfire is still there but only after a long time of super aggressive driving. I'm beginning to think the low-boost may be the turbos. I'm going to change the boost solenoid and pray that fixes it. Misfire must be the injectors.

EDIT: On the plus side, I happened to come across a new F-Type S and F80 M3. Had a run with the F-Type and kept up easily. Even began to pull on him once we got up over 110 km/h.

Did the first spark plug change of my car @ 57500 mileage. A bit over the suggested interval of bmw with PPK/flash tune but the original Bosch plugs just look fine. I replaced with NGK 97506 spark plug from Burger Tuning and gaped to 0.020 as recommended. Feels smooth and run great afterward.

Since the car is away for the winter, I thought I would take the opportunity to clean the engine bay.

Very nice, Frank. So does that mean you're keeping her?

Esteban...If I don't find the right buyer and replacement vehicle this spring, then I'll keep it for one more season and then consider the following:

-M2 CSL
-New Supra
CPO'd
-M3 competition
-2009-2012 911 Carrera S

Or
Keep the 1 and find a CPO'd
-M6GC
-X5M

Really torn because the 1 series is such a great car.
