"Totally different steering wheel, shifter knob" for the 135's... or do all these features apply to the 128's as well?

The 128 is a different story. It comes with standard suspension, and the sports package adds the sports suspension that comes standard on the 135. Many consider this to be a mandatory item on the 128, as it makes the car enormously entertaining to drive, not to mention the addition of the great sports seats. So in the 128, the sports package does change the way the car interacts with the road (and therefore the steering feel). I'd probably spec it on either a 128 or 135 for the seats alone, but I think you get more for your money with the package on the 128, as it alters the way the car handles, which is fundamental to the driving experience. IMO it's MANDATORY on a 128, nice to have on a 135. |

the sports package is mandatory, in my opinion, for eithe the 128 or 135, because of the sport seats and wheels.
if you go to the 135i, the M steering wheel is sweet......

The seats are pretty amazing and the wheel is awesome. Also, in Canada you get the 261M wheels, M door sills and M dead pedal.

So do I. The non-sport pkg wheel in the 135i is actually the sport pkg wheel on the 335i. It's very nice.

I do not like the aluminum trim on the standard steering wheel. It does match the shifter and door handles though. Might look better with the brushed aluminum trim. I saw it at the Welt and it is excellent looking. Different strokes for different folks...JMHO

They should have included different wheels with the sport package for the 135i like they do for the 128i and 3 series. However, I like the sport seats as well as the thicker M steering wheel and M shift knob so $1100 it is....

You can order the M Sport Steering wheel as an accessory on either the 128i or the non-sports pkg. 135i. Ask your dealer. |
