It looks so good in black!

Makes me think if I chose the right colour for my 1. :eyebulge:

Black is the best looking color there is... when it's clean.

I will never, ever own a black car again!

Your AW will look better IMO. The black disguises the lines of the car.

Agree completely. Dark colors reduce the attractiveness of the 1-Series styling. Black makes things look smaller, and this car clearly doesn't need that. Black also de-emphasizes the sports-oriented appearance of the large front grills and intakes.

Now now, no need for that - just because I come from South Africa .

I'm basing my opinion on the 1ers I have seen. It could be that because I am getting Sedona, that I have preconditioned myself to like it (don't think so however as I was very nervous ordering it), but when I saw a Sedona next to a Black, the Black looked boring in comparison.

My last 3 cars were black. Beautiful when clean. And the 1 pictured here looks great. Makes me wonder if I should go with Jet black again. But I wont !!!
My one series will be SGM.

Black always looks the best but keeping up with Black is not worth it...needs washing and waxing like every day.

White or Silver FTW!

the black hasn't had the free swirl marks option from car washes yet. Then it will require waxing. Then you will drive it and it will be dirty, so you wash it. Then....

It keeps going on and on. Maintenence on black is a PITA

Those pics look awesome. I love sapphire black. Don't get jet black. BMW's jet black is terrible and very easily prone to swirls and other detractions.

BTW, normally I would agree that black hides the nice lines on the body of the vehicle, but in this case, it works well with the 1er. I had a black car too a number of years ago. Dirt is noticeable. But in the spring and summer, it really wasn't too bad to keep clean. I generally wash my car once every two weeks. When cleaned and zaino'd, it's phenomenal.

Black is def the best. Though I don't like it in pics either. These almost convince me the metallic paint is better.
