You might want to keep a waterpump in stock or get it replaced as it's only a matter of time before you get stuck out on the open road!

Car looks good mate, if you dont want the BOV sound, go for a ER charge pipe and some Forge diverter valves.
on another note if your not happy with the old style i'drive, you can retrofit the latest one pretty damn easy. |

I'm happy with the CCC Idrive at the moment as I normally only listen to podcasts/lectures via my phone anyway. The retrofit costs a bit too much in my opinion. As for waterpump, I guess I should get it done at some point. Might have to do walnut, chargepipe, coil packs, sparks, waterpump all in one go (my poor wallet). |

I'm going to be ordering the bluetooth dongle to try on mine, will report back with my results.. I've got CCC as well though. Planning to do a CIC upgrade somewhere down the track (or even NBT if possible).
I've had a water pump die on me on my last 135i, not fun |

I tried one of these for my non drive car, the sound quality was terrible.
I ended up using a y-cable, and got a tune2air wma1000. I had previously also tried a cheap Ebay 30-pin bluetooth module - the sound was terrible. The Tune2Air WMA1000 sound quality is awesome - strongly recommend it. |

With the tune2air, can you browse the tracks in the idrive? Song name/artist

I've got a tune2air and you can't for apps like Spotify. It won't show any artist etc details on the idrive. The only thing you can do is next/previous track via the steering wheel.

advantage of being owned by an enthusiast previously I guess! injectors were done at 28k, as well as full clutch/flywheel replacement and new turbos under-warranty (helps to have a friends that work at dealers to run the VIN for me). I guess I might just do carbon cleaning and chargepipe now (if anyone has one they want to get rid of, let me know!) |

The only minor issues I had was with battery registration which was quickly sorted with the dealer (no indies in Wagga haha). Service was excellent though, as they picked my car up from work and dropped it off after I told them what my job was haha. Also had a peculiar cruise control malfunction whenever going WOT. Issue resolved today after doing a v-speed on dash coding using ICarly app with BT OBD2 port. No idea how it fixed it, but very happy it did! |

It's been a nice first month with the car, recently did a trip 1500km return to 12 Apostles, had great fun. The cruise control malfunction was really annoying on the highway though, occurs when you accelerate above ~90km/h. It won't reset until the car has been off more than about 15 minutes. Also realized the intermittent CEL comes on when you press the clutch for more than around 2 seconds when starting the car and turns off after about 10 seconds. The P3 guage is showing 2D5A and 2F4F codes, which don't really mean much to me. Battery issues have been resolved by using a CTEK 5A charger. I'm returning about 9l/100km so far with mostly highway driving which is not bad.
I feel like just ripping the Procede out at this stage since I barely use it and leave it on the stock map mainly. I'm kind of blaming it on everything. So if anyone desperately needs one you can PM me. not often you see another 1-er in a small country town! In our hospital car-park we have 2 other 2-series (but both base diesels). |

The fault code 2F4F is 'vehicle speed plausibility' could mean a wheel speed issue. As the cruise relies on this information, it will disable if it detects a fault. Start off by checking tyre pressures and resetting the tyre pressure initialization in idrive. This is because the tyre pressure indicators are based on wheel speed only and resetting it may help. Otherwise it could be one of your wheel speed sensors. I hear you about the procede, I had a bunch of issues with mine as well. Turns out the previous owner had O2 sims (fix for runnign downpipes) running which caused CELs. Then I had issues when I flashed a map for a slightly different hardware revision (all very poorly documented btw) which caused intermittent hesitations, misfires and CELs. It came with my car so I guess I can't complain too much but was the source of some headaches for a few months for me. All running good now though.

probably worth ditching the procede, they're quite a few years old now with zero updates/support. probably 2-3 years they've been obsoleted for now?

So took it to BMR today and not much luck with the cruise control, but stumbled on a thread from a previous owner with Procede who reported a similar issue. I may just rip it out haha. All issues resolved after removal.

Hey guys where do people in sydney go to for wheel powder coat these days? I really like the shape of these wheels but want a darker shade (prefer gunmetal) and need to get some kerb rash sandblasted. Has anyone been to a place that gives interim rims to use? Here is a picture of my vision...
Thanks! |
