Waste Gate Rattle Fix Options
What are the prices in Oz to get this fixed? My car sounds so bad at the moment with inlets + this lol.
Has anyone done it and regretted their options and wish they had done something else? |

I bought rb classics because of the rattles.
I still had the rattles when I installed rbs. When I changed boost solenoids the rattle was gone. I still had boost in target and no signs of failing boost solenoids. |

Interesting that boost solenoids would fix waste gate rattle. What's the explanation to this?

The solenoid needs to hold vacuum open and closed. The solenoid wasn't doing it quick enough or something.
Mine was only on decel at a certain rpm. It was night and day difference as it stopped rattling. |

Combine that with the fact that I've got a vert with BMS Cowl filters, there's nothing dampening the sound. To top it off, the inlets & outlets broke the MHD E25 OTS tune (now unusable because it's too lean) - so I've got plenty of reason to regret the decision. I don't regret it though, because virtual dyno confirms much quicker spool up and more power at lower boost - so I'm confident with a trebila flash the gains will offset the disadvantages. I'm also loving the BOV noises since installation - my sleeper isn't really a sleeper any more, it turns heads on the footpath every time I change gear. I'm hoping i just get used to the ticking. I'm not ready to spend thousands on Pure Stage 2 turbos yet. |

The ecu compensates for this and if you are running lean its only one of three things, either your hpfp or lpfp is not keeping up or your o2 sensors are going bad. Its definetly not your tune. |

Since i've been getting intermittent 'lambda probe' codes and my HPFP is what limits me from running more E content - I recon' you might be on the money there. Time for me to talk to JD75 |
