Can I ask that everyone who posted here go back and edit their post to include whether they are N54, N55, 6MT, Step or DCT? Just wondering how these factors will affect consumption?

N55 is more economic than the N54.

DCT is more economic than steptronic but not sure where manual fits in.

I have 11.5L/100km on the computer, not sure how accurate that is, I reckon I get about 400km from a tank.

Any logs? Is your HPFP maxed?

HPFP still has room to play. It was tuned on the dyno so I haven't bothered with logs.

But I might do a few log runs soon anyway.

I live in Buenos Aires - Argentina, I drive 95% of the time in the city and my average is around 18L/100km (13 mpg), at the highway, at 75 mph I do 27 mpg....

I have a 135i N55 DCT with 6500 miles... Although I drive under intense traffic and Im always braking and accelerating from 0 I dont know if there is something wrong with the car... I guess the low consumption at high speeds is an indicator everything is OK, but I honestly thought that the consumption would be less...

When we moved from Brisbane to the Southern Highlands, we drove down at highway speed limits. Fuel consumption was 6.1 L/100 km. It was a reminder of what a great choice the little 125i coupe has been for us - plenty of power for most situations, with acceptable fuel consumption. And then there's that great N/A straight-six exhaust note from the E52.

i run E50 daily, and i'll see around 300-350km around town. I dont exactly drive conservatively, but this is stop start traffic to work and home.

When i ran 98, it was 450km under the same conditions.

Car is 2008 135i (N54) 6MT with JB4

10.8/100km a lot of peak hour traffic & driving like my hair is on fire, will be good to see how my fuel economy goes when I get my jb4 installed on Monday.

My average speed is 54.8km/h god I hate the m4 traffic

N54 & steptronic

Is that what you actually get or what the computer says you should get? Cause there is no way in hell you'd get anything close to that assuming you have a n54

I had to buy a full tank of gas THREE times in one day(on a 600km trip). Our cars can really suck down some fuel when driving fast.

Low speed stop and go city driving I can be as bad as 16L/100. Highway cruising can be as good as 7L/100. So depends on the mix of the two and get between those two numbers.
