Ok, how about this. I'll make a cube, made up of a whole bunch of other little colored cubes, and it would be a puzzle, and you turn rows of cubes to try to match................

You know that truck driver is liable for that. I own a construction company and my drivers go through a strict check list before they take a vehicle on the road. that includes checking the top of the dump body as well as the sides and bottom for drbrit that could possibly fall off and crack a windshield or dent a car. i have had to pay people for new windshields as well as some paint work. so for next time. get the plate number or the name of the company and call it in.they have to pay.

Those door ding guards are all over Korea. But most just stick them on their cars and leave them there. I was thinking that a set for high risk parking situations would be nice.

sorry to hear. i went over a pretty large pothole yesterday cruising through a canyon. i was pretty pissed. hard to look for potholes when your takin tight turns on the edge of a cliff at a nice clip at night.

its funny, the car rides softer over most bumps than my previous cars but when it hit that pothole it felt like it hit a lot harder than my previous cars would have.

I have not had any damage to my vehicles for over 10 years. Like most here I park the furthest end space and take only one spot. I live in Idaho where the whole state population is about 1.3 M. I think that has something to do with it. However I have seen a few heavy set people that open there door a little then kick it open the rest of the way into the next car. No regard for anyone else’s property. All they are worried about is to get there fat ass out of the car and in the store to buy more junk food.

Call it in to who? I called the VA state police on my cell with the plate and DOT numbers and was told to file it with my insurance. They don't have time to be bothered with broken windshields. This was in VA. I'm still looking for that dumptruck..

Sounds like the depression (literally!) I picked up in my rear bumper. Sure, it's not gigantic, but, as you said, I KNOW it's there. It's like a pimple on prom night!

My CA said I should drive by the dealership, and they'd see what magic they could work. If that doesn't do it, it's Mr. Ding Dude for me.

I have an insurance question. So if you have insurance with no deductable, could you have the insurance pay for the "ding"? Of course every time a shopping cart hit my car or a pebble left a dent i'd be calling my insurance and then my rates might increase. Anyone had experience with that kind of situation?

I don't like to sound paranoid or anything like that, but sometimes I just think there are as-hol-s out there that intentionally ding a nice new car... maybe driving an old truck and jealous or something.
Or something else is totally fu-k-d up in their heads.

Either way, it still ends up needing to be fixed.

I just HATE door dings... or any kind of ding.

It amazes me that someone can just casually come along and lay some damage on any vehicle, especially ones thst are worth so much money. I think the culprits should go to freakin' jail.
These are the same guys clankin' their metal cans on the bars in jail and dingin' them up!! haha..... seriously though...the world is relative. Some of us in here will never afford an 100k car just like others wont afford a 40k car...appreciate what you DO have and respect other's stuff like your own! :w00t:
