I'm on Cool Carbons now but plan to make the ferodo jump soon. I've heard alot of great reviews from them. I'm happy with the CC's but slways looking for something better.

Cool carbons are the other pads i was looking at.

Ive decided to scrap the RB rotors, due to all the issues they have had lately. I think im just gonna do pads/fluid/lines.

Nice build ezeedee...looking forward to photographing the final result.

I did ferodo 2500s, fluid and ss lines on my 135 and that combo rocked but when the ferodos are cold, they squeak a little on slow braking like a ID check stop. For the 1M, I did fluids and shims but at the end of the track day I felt the brakes didn't have enough grab so will upgrade my pads, possibility to ferodos or Hawk.

I will install everything on my R&R, not sure exactly when im coming back yet, so i dont know when it will be, im guessing end of may, but we all know how that works.

Tool room on miesau, you have a hobby shop? i live in miesau, across the street from the fire station.

Thats good to hear. I read a good bit about all the pads for our cars, and everyone had good and bad things to say about every brand, but the 2500's seemed to be hater-proof. The people commenting on them seemed to know their stuff about brakes too, so that meant a lot.

Id love to have you shoot my car, are you going on the swiss trip in june? I will hopefully be there.

Yea I know how that goes, and theres a lot of hurry up and wait. Its not a hobby shop per say. Im a mechanic for the army, and I work on all the medics trucks and equipment. There are only like four of us on miesau, but we have like 16 bays and 2 lifts. Im in charge of all the tools, and we have a lot.

It depends on ALS. no guarantees.

Im thinking about switching the front tires to 245/35/18 PSS's. They are a little wider, and a little shorter (25.4" v 24.8") so as long as my width isnt an issue, i will be able to get a little lower in the front. It wont be as much of a stretch, but i think im gonna give it a try. I was looking around on the "official wheel and tire thread" and there are more than a couple people squeezing 245's on the front with 8.5 wheels. The only downside i can see, is not having any stretch at all, which is purely asthetic, so i can live with that.

What do you guys think?

Do you know if you have to pull/roll the fenders out a bit? That is a bit thick.

I dont mind if i have to, it would be worth it for that front width. they are only 282 on tirerack, not too bad.

Widest I would go up front is a 235 on an 8 inch wheel.

You'll def have to roll the fenders and I think the the most you could go is 235/265 without any serious rubbin especially if your lowered.

If you go to ATU's website you can look up other non standard tire and wheel size combinations recommended for the E82 Coupe.

235 on an 17x8 inch wheel was the largest they showed.

Its on an 8.5" someone on this forum is running 245 khumos on a +45 offset 8.5 with no rubbing. If it doesnt work, ill put the 235's on.

I will put them on and see how low i can go. If i dont like the stance, ill drop to 235's. If they had 235/35 pss's, id rock them, i dont like how fat the sidewall is on the 40 series.
