Keep in mind that EU frequency will not work in the US when it comes to Digital TV.

Hey Tom

Whoever had the smarts to do the tvInMotion device, do you know if they have ever looked at doing something similar to the BMW "Accessory Control Menu (ACM)" add-on.

No one seems to think it exists any more even though its on a lot of literature. I even have the PDF install information for it covering the E82 etc. Basically my interest would be just one aspect of what it can do which is to allow video playback through flash drives, USB hard disks etc through the USB connector in the glovebox via an additional iDrive menu.

It claims to support most video formats like MPEG, DIVX, MP4 etc

The TVinMOTION modules were developed here in house. There are no plans to release an ACM-like device on our end, but there are similiar products on the market like those from Dietz.

Begs the question then Tom. Do you carry any such device that would allow video playback off USB devices for the MY09 iDrives?

Nothing other than the Dietz IMU interfaces, which requires a separate coding module for activation. Your input would be via a 3rd party device like an iPod or +12V DVD player.

Not 100% sure - I would assume AU and EU share the same frequency.

tom does the tvInMotion come with a video input?

i.e. could I get tvInMotion and the tuner oldman mentioned...
http://www.pegasus-online.net/bmwupg...a-p-12647.html

and plug it into the tvInMotion video input, thereby having both TV and DVD available whilst driving

before the flames begin its for the passengers of course...

If you go here you will see a world map showing the DVB standards adopted by various countries.

TVinMOTION is only to allow TV in motion, it does not have a video input.
