Overall, veritable equivalents in time, but quite different driving experiences I'm sure.

I was somewhat bummed when the 1M's Nordschleife lap time was released a few months back when in comparison to e9X M3. It was the only comparison of the two we had to work with. A 10 second difference?!? I thought to myself. That does not say M to me. But as we can see here it was due to the obivous: the M3 simply has more power and the Nordschleife has more straights to use that power on! But when we get to slower, more technical tracks we can see the 1M does have it's advantages with the shorter wheelbase +more torque.
Aside from the car and weather conditions, the driver is also a huge factor in the variables. To really make this a valid/ accurate source, the same driver would have to be used. But I strongly feel unless the same driver was used in all of the posted laps above, this is not a valid source and can not be taken with a grain of salt! Still definitely interesting though, thanks for sharing!

E92 manual, E92 DKG, E92 DKG competition. The later test are driven by the latest model (competition) the older are not. The first E92 M3 where also available from the factory with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup+...
