Aggressive Driving

N55, DCT. Which is the most aggressive position?

1) Button -Sport Mode or

2) Shift level, to the left, Sport Mode or

3) Button - Sport Mode and Shift Level in Sport Mode

I would say Manual Mode with Spot button.

I feel S shifting revs it out too high when you get on the gas.

I personally like (and think it's the most aggressive): one quick press of the DTC button, sport button pressed, gear selector in the left position and manual shifting. This is the way I drive all the time.

Thank you for your responses. I failed to mention manual shifting. I will go with the manual shifting, sport button pressed. I will work with this before going with the DTC button pressed once. The care, just by itself, is very spirited for me.

Glad I have a plain old manual six speed.

Throttle seems to be more responsive with not press of the DTC button, but more linear with one press of the DTC button...

I've heard this before about the throttle and the DTC button but don't really notice it. I've actually driven and pressed the DTC button and gave it throttle and then quickly gave it throttle again without pressing the DTC button and didn't notice any difference.

What I do notice is that gun shot sound when shifting in high rpms is louder with a quick press of the DTC button. Maybe that sound fools me into thinking it's more aggressive.

I can guarantee you mine is very noticeable. Without the DTC button pressed it sometimes get jerky on the throttle since I am not used to it. Then again, if I have been driving without the button pressed, then I press it, I can immediately tell that it has a bit more lag in the pedal.

I dunno then... maybe PPK for a few years, and now Dinan S2 makes it feel different for me.

Or maybe type 2 diabetes has given me nerve damage and numbed my right foot so I can't tell the difference.

Mine is very noticeable as well. If you are at a stable cruising speed and then enable sport mode the car just surges forward due to the throttle map change. With DTC mode or DTC/DSC fully disabled it stays linear even with the sport button pressed.
