Wheels and non-runflat tires.

On car photos to follow.

Yoko S-Drives, that's what I just ordered from Tirerack for my 128 (with preowned 135 wheels). Did you stick with stock rubber sizes?

Nice wheels!!

What are the sizes/specs? Or better yet, can you add to the on going wheel database? Would love to get more info up there.

Ok...here's the poop and some photos (let me apologize for the quality, the light was going away). Also, let me set the stage for my choice of wheels -- even though my car will never see any track duty (I have a dedicated track car that makes my 135 feel like a bus :smile, I wanted something lighter than stock (it never hurts to reduce unsprung weight) but wanted to retain the same size and width with similar offsets (no rubbing to deal with), the wheels had to be aesthetically pleasing and have a low cost.... along came the GTS-R's. We will see how they hold up long term.

Now for some interesting weight data -- performed on a highly sophisticated, digital, talking bathroom scale (just making full disclosure for you non-believers :wink.

Yoko S-drive on GTS-R's vs Bridgestone Run Flats on stock sport wheels -- Front: 40 vs 50.8 lbs Rear: 42.6 vs 53.4 lbs

For my next set of tires, I may go with the 225/255 setup (much greater choice of high-end tires).

While subjective, IMHO, these wheels look great...quality appears to be excellent (even TUV certified).... and they cost almost nothing. Before I get too much grief/hate mail, you need to appreciate where I'm coming from... typically I've paid 300-400% more for wheels this light with decent looks.

Finally, I need to give kudos to Gill at the Tire Rack...he provided me with great service and made sure my wheels got to me with all due haste. THANKS GILL. Remember, buying tires or wheels thru Gill provides financial support for the 1ADDICTS Forum.

Now for some photos....enjoy. Any questions, ask away.

18x7.5" ET 45, 17.5 lbs. $279 per wheel
18x8.5" ET 48, 18.3 lbs. $289 per wheel

Not sure that this works for you track guys, unless running the 8.5" wide wheel front and back makes any sense.

Jack, looks beautiful. A nice clean looking upgrade. That is the kind of wheel BMW should have provided with the sport package!

And then there's the Exige Cup car, 4 post lift at home, vintage rolls royce parked on the street, do you want to adpot me? jk

One of our friends came down and we did a mini photoshoot with his Exige. I'll have to bug you about some questions that he has.
