Breyton Front Wheel Questions
I just bought a 2008 135i with Breyton Race GTS-R on it.
Fronts are 7.5 x 18 with RE050A Rears are 8.5 x 18 with RE050A My questions is can I run a 8.5 x 18's upfront. If I have understood the post in section it might work work? Any one done this? |

You do have a better chance with 18" wheels than with 17" wheels. With 17" x 8.5 40mm offset, the wheel is 2-3mm from the suspension. Too close for my comfort. As there is an angle with the damper, there is more clearence with an 18" wheel. I think that the Breytons are around 45mm offset which increases the chances of it working presuming that the tires are not so wide as not to clear the wheel well. Perhaps you could just try putting one of your rear tires on the front and reaching inside the wheel and see what sort of clearence you have to the suspension. I'd be interested to hear what you find.

It would likely work with a spacer. What exact size spacer is the question...
