Check out these Depos!!
The company that sells them is called Schmiedmann.
Anyways, these lights are manufactured by Depo. The two last ones are stock halogens. They look MUCH better than the ones commonly sold for the 1er -- also, I think that the AE's might be able to be upgraded, still awaiting a response... I wish I found these before the ones I purchased recently... blah... Thoughts? |

found more pics of the black one thanks to dackelone.
this side shot below looks more oem-like angel eyes (the way the light transmit in certain angles like the oem ones) but brightness is not good if you can use yellow halogen bulbs for the angel eyes it would be brighter vs the p82 EDIT: vs oem Last edited by blingers; 11-08-2010 at 07:15 PM.. |

Ok, lets look at some headlights!
OE Xeon... Oli's 120d with 100 watt H8's before the coding which makes them brighter yet! 125i after being coded for higher voltage to the Angel Eyes... with low beams on... low beams off, just halos on ie parking lights. 135i "performance" with the white film and M3 gauges & 400 PS tune... NOTE the inner lens has the adaptive function. another 135i but this one does not have the Adaptive Curven Xeon lights. That is an extra option on top of Xeons! My US spec Xeons after being coded for higher voltage = brighter halos... Depos... Dackel Last edited by Dackelone; 11-08-2010 at 08:07 PM.. |

Dack,
Those Depos from the white car are from Schmiedmann -- did they not look all that bright in person? Also, the halos look like they're lit up the same way as the stock xenons, so I wonder if we're able to get an aftermarket AE bulb to fit in there... or if that Depo setup is only meant to look like the stock AE xenons. |

I will be seeing those cars in two weeks on the 28th for our "Little Swiss" driving tour. I will be sure to take more pics of them - also from far away in daylight. I think the Depo's are only meant to look simular to the OE Xeons. Dackel Last edited by Dackelone; 11-12-2010 at 04:32 AM.. |

The Depos should be equipped with these LEDs, not the one with 3 SMD LEDs because one bulb fires forward and creates the "dot" appearance. With these, no "dot" appearance: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/34..._LED_BULB.html
Then of course, the Depos should be tested in daylight/night with clear pics... so as to not confuse and mislead customers for a "quick sale" |

Ok, here is a photo of the red 1er. The owner: Katja sent me this photo with the angel eyes on.
As you can see there are no "hot" or "dead" or "dot" spots on these AE rings. |

Hmmm, the white car's headlights look like they're on -- I see a purplish hue to the rings... so, they were not on when you took pics? Was it just reflections or? Thanks. |

Here are some photos that Katja (red 116i hatch) sent me today.
Blue has OE Xeon adaptive lights. Red car has OE-like depos... not Xeon just H7's... This might be of interest too. But its only for early pre LCI cars.
