Currently looking at the MK7 GTI Performace Package 2dr (although the same but 4 door might be better for your purposes)

as mentioned you could change your springs/dampers in the 135 to the base 128 suspension. you could also downsize the rims to 17s.

For $50k, I'm thinking a 335 or S4. would align closer to your goals. An ATS-V or possibly used CTS-V could also fit.
