There is hardly any difference between the brands. When compared to the stock DP, the catless version will yield a ~12 hp gain. Perhaps the results will be different with bigger turbos.

Ok so what happened was that I gave a couple of local 1M owners a "blind" test. Didn't tell them what I did to my car lol.

First off, everyone said that it felt exactly like stock after the first 30 secs of normal driving , so I would say that the Pure Turbos did a great job and managed to retain the "stock" feel..

After that, I told them to drive it hard and go WOT.. And the look on their faces, priceless ??

So to answer your question, power delivery at low end and normal driving is as mad as ever, but when you put your foot down, it becomes a ballistic missile. It is like stock with a shit load more power after 3k rpm.

Another thing is that I've put around 10,000 hard Kms on the turbos and they are really steady and reliable. No issues at all. Really Kudos to Pure Turbos for such a wonderful product...

I wished more people come out to contribute their experiences w different turbos (hybrid or single) and set-ups.. There's so much discussion on the N54 engine but not much with the 1M owners unfortunately

Very nice, thats good to hear its stock level drivability under 3k revs, and then monster over that

I've got stg2 TD turbos on mine, and just fitted the meth kit. Still in the process of finalizing the tune.

Did you go for a twin meth setup? or just one cm7 nozzle?

Any idea how much it's making now? If you get the chance to dyno it that would be super helpful. You are right, not many are modifying the 1M much. I'd love to do turbos and cooler to go with the exhaust.

How is this gain compared to replacing the mids with N55, Maddads or similar? More or less? Can't afford both mods... Already having cat-back exhaust.

There is no gain with mids except smell

Tested back to back on a dyno

The best gain I seen is 3rwk and that's basically a run variance of the dyno

The ecu tunes itself for small changes like this so no need for retune

Mine made 413rwk on n55 mids on my tuned 1m

Then we fitted the n54 mids and there was no power loss

Don't listen to the hype the only thing you gain is noise and smell

I agree. Downpipes probably made the most difference.

What fueling changes did you do, or were required?
Do you have IAT log of a 100-200km/h run?

downpipes = substantial hp & noise gain
mids = no gain or loss in hp & substantial gain in exhaust rasp and smell

That hasn't been my experience. MadDad sounds great, not raspy at all. There is noticeably more rich exhaust smell on cold startup, but not for more than a minute or two.

I am making 382 rwhp on a tractive brake dyno (corrected to about 431 rwhp dynojet, probably 450-460 crank HP) on stock turbos with K+N panel filter, intercooler and MadDad's as the only relevant engine mods. I don't think the midpipes hurt power.

In regards to mids, they provide slight gains in peak HP, but most of the gains are in the mid RPM range.

there is no gains tested back to back on a dyno going from non restricted n55 mids to catted n54 mids and making 413rwk

Actually the n54 mids made 1 rwk more but that's run variance
